Affordable Homes in Mayo

Affordable homes are provided by Mayo County Council to help people who want to buy a home in Ballina, Ballinrobe, Castlebar, Claremorris, Swinford and Westport but cannot afford to buy on the open market.   If you want to apply, check that you meet the criteria below, download the application form available on this page and return it to the Council.
 

To qualify for an affordable home

You should:

• be a first time buyer 
• be in full time employment for at least 6 months or self employed for at least 2 years
• earn a maximum of €40,000 as a single applicant or up to €100,000 combined income if you are applying with someone else
