Affordable Homes in Longford

Affordable homes are provided by Longford County Council to help people who want to buy a home in County Longford but cannot afford to buy on the open market.   If you want to apply, check that you meet the criteria below, download the application form available on this page and return it to the Council.
 

To Qualify for an Affordable Home

 You should:

• be a first time buyer (certain exceptions apply)
• be in full time employment for at least 12 months or self employed for at least 3 years
• earn less than €40,000 as a single applicant or up to €100,000 combined income  (2.5 x principal earner's salary plus second salary) if you are applying with someone else.
