Affordable Homes in Limerick County

Affordable homes are provided by Limerick County Council to help people who want to buy a home in County Limerick but cannot afford to buy on the open market.   If you want to apply, check that you meet the criteria below, download the application form available on this page and return it to the Council.
 

To Qualify for an Affordable Home

You should:

• be a first time buyer (certain exceptions apply);
• be in full time employment for at least 12 months or self-employed for at least 2 years; and
• earn between €25,000 and €40,000 as a single applicant or up to €100,000* combined income if you are applying with someone else.  (*This is based on 2.5 times the main earner's salary plus the second earner's salary not exceeding €100,000).
