Affordable Homes in Galway City
Affordable homes are provided by Galway City Council to help people who want to buy a home in Galway City but cannot afford to buy on the open market. If you want to apply, check that you meet the criteria below, download the application form available on this page and return it to the Council.
To Qualify for an Affordable Home
You should:
- be a first time buyer (certain exceptions apply)
- be in full time employment for at least 12 months or self employed for at least 2 years
- earn up to €40,000 gross as a single applicant or up to €100,000 gross combined income if you are applying with someone else.
