Affordable Homes in Dublin City

Affordable homes are provided by Dublin City Council to help people who want to buy a home in  Dublin City Council's are but cannot afford to buy on the open market.   If you want to apply, check that you meet the criteria below, download the application form available on this page and return it to the Council.


To Qualify for an Affordable Home

 you should:

  • be a first time buyer (certain exceptions apply);
  • be in full time employment for at least 12 months or self employed for at least 2 years; and
  • earn between €25,000 and € 55,000 as a single applicant or up to €75,000 combined income if you are applying with someone else.

 
Examples of Homes Provided Previously

Dublin City Council has sold over 400 homes to eligible families and individuals over the last 12 months.  Most recently 59 three and two bedroom homes have been sold in Newbury Wood, Clonshaugh ranging in price from €235,000 to €245,000.

The average waiting time to receive an offer is currently 18 months.
