Affordable Homes in Cavan
Affordable homes are provided by Cavan County Council to help people who want to buy a home in Cavan but cannot afford to buy on the open market. If you want to apply, check that you meet the criteria below, download the application form available on this page and return it to the Council.
To Qualify for an Affordable Home
you should:
- be a first time buyer (certain exceptions apply)
- be in full time employment for at least 6 months or self employed for at least 2 years
- satisfy the income criteria that repayments on a loan for a similar home at the market price will exceed 35% of the applicants' net monthly income
