This website has been developed, at the request of the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government (DoEHLG), as a result of a collaborative effort by the Affordable Homes Partnership and all local authorities.  The information on this website has been provided by local authorities and the Affordable Homes Partnership. 

Local authorities have responsibility for the operation of the affordable housing schemes.  Each authority is responsible for evaluating applicants for affordable housing and for offering affordable homes for sale in their area.  The information provided on this website is specifically in relation to affordable housing.

The Affordable Homes Partnership is a state agency established in August 2005 to co-ordinate and promote the delivery of affordable homes.  The Partnership is a corporate body under the Local Government Services (Corporate Services) Act 1971.  One of the functions of the Partnership is to support  local authorities to meet their delivery targets and to provide information to the public about affordable homes.
